Dustin Runnels (AKA: Goldust) joins the cast of “The Murders of Brandywine Theater”
Larry here.
First off, I have a pounding headache. Woke up sick yesterday and it hit hard last night. I feel like I spend as much time bitching and complaining lately as I do working on our film. Sorry.
That aside, I had a conversation with Mr. Dallas Page the other day. I told him I’d noticed a certain personality had commented on my company’s FB page. Turns out Dallas knows the guy quite well. DDP got pretty excited and was soon texting and calling me saying I should get this guy onboard to play his partner (Dallas is a cop in the movie).
I ran it by Aaron, who clearly loved it since he, Brandon, and myself have grown up watching this guy. I watched some videos of the man-in-question to make sure he had the charisma to handle this. I don’t want to stack celebrities just to stack them, after all. Like Ordesky said recently regarding somebody we were in talks with… “Can he act?” It’s that simple. Also, I have no interest in shoe-horning people into our film if it doesn’t serve the main story.
The good news is that this guy has charisma and talent by the boat loads and I can’t wait to have him in front of the camera. He’s awesome.
So, a few text messages and phone calls later, a deal had been reached by myself and this charismatic mountain of a man (6’6″ to be exact).
And now, I’m excited to announce that DUSTIN RUNNELS is now officially a cast member on “The Murders of Brandywine Theater”.
Of course, you may know him by a different name…
GOLDUST.
Welcome aboard, Dustin. Let’s rock this thing. We’re gonna have fun, brother.
For those of you keeping score, that’s:
Dian Bachar as Henry
Danielle Lozeau as Mindy
Martin Klebba as Mr. O’Doul
Diamond Dallas Page as Officer Carwin
Dustin Runnels as Officer Rodney
Chris McCail as Dr. Landers
Josie Calogero as Mama Kosta
Oh, and maybe a couple more cameos up the sleeve…
I’m only 4 days away from the shoot now. I’m nervous but confident, tired but fired up. It’s gonna be crazy.
